My
oldest daughter had a friend who on one day brought a Ouija board
over to the house.
Now, being that we were raising our kids
fairly strict Catholic, combining that with my mother-in-law and my
husbands upbringing, a Ouija board was extremely taboo and something
you just don't allow in your home or mess with.
Me being me, I
felt that I would seize the opportunity to teach me daughter that if
you don't believe in such things, you don't need to worry about it.
I
was so very wrong and on so many levels.
Let me explain.
The way creating and manifesting works is deep in your
subconscious mind.
Like super deep. But, I didn't know this at the time.
If there is the
tiniest inkling of doubt buried in your mind for something you don't
want or don't want to believe in, your subconscious picks up on it
very quickly and will deliver to you the exact opposite of what you
want, like a magnet.
Because
we were living a very church going, praying and Catholic life at the
time, the idea that one should not mess around with a Ouija board was
right there in all of our minds even if unspoken. It's just the way
it was. We were Christians living almost absolute Christian lives so
anything Anti-Christian meant the “Devil” and in doing so, meant
it was against God.
When terrible things begun to happen, all
it did was confirm our belief in the terrible things that were
happening even more, and guess what? More of it kept coming due to
that very reason.
For
years I did not realize that we were creating all of the demonic things we
were experiencing or that it stemmed from a deeply rooted belief.
I
held the belief that some of my children and I were simply "psychic" or “Indigo”
and we had some special sense that could pick up on things.
That,
coupled with the Christian teachings that when you pray, the Devil
attacks, when you put Jesus first; the Devil tries to tempt you, etc. It
makes sense that my first thought when I saw the Ouija board was
“don't mess with this”, and that that very thought subconsciously
was my dominant thought, even if unknown by me and it would end up
out weighing what I told to my daughter: “if you don't believe in
such things, you don't need to worry about it”.
The
dominant thought and belief won and we ended experiencing more of
what we didn't want and
for years.
There it is, another good "teaching" story for you guys to help you avoid unwanted issues.
